In ted talk, Pamela Meyer's teaches and explains to the crowd how to spot a liar. This would have been very benefitial to have for the people of Salem. In The Crucible, it seems as if everyone lies at one point. John Proctor lied to his wife and commited adultery. Abigail lied to the court about Elizabeth commiting witchcraft, so that she could have John. Mary Warren lied and said John Proctor tried to make her sign her name to the devil. John and Elizabeth lie to protect eachother, when John admits he has commited adultry. With so much lying going on it would have been helpful to have Pamela in court helping with decisons. If she was there maybe all those people would not have been hung and taken away from their families. Lying seems to be apart of human nature when a person is put into a difficult situation. However lying is never the right answer, even if it seems like the easy way out. It is never worth it because, someone like Pamela will catch you in the middle of your lie one day.
